Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born and raised in Malibu, California. Her passion for acting was performing in front of her friends and family as an early child. When she was just eight years old she was taken by her mother to her very first acting class. The first part she played was a small part as a 'singing and dancing orphan for the feature film Annie produced by John Huston. Salenger performed a number of television commercials. Salenger was the first actress to play the lead part as a lead actress in The Journey of Natty Gann which was the Disney movie that starred John Cusack with Ray Wise. The film was the first US film to be awarded the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. Also, she took home "Best Female actor in a dramatic" at the Youth in Film Awards in recognition of her role as the sexy Natty. She was also in four films before turning the age of 18. One of her films included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following year, she was accepted to Harvard for further education.
