Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and she is a performer, actress, singer, and musician. Her most well-known work is the notable roles she played in several high-profile television and movie series like Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. The most well-known of her roles is the portrayal she gave of Xena. This role was initially intended for the actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy because she was not able to join the filming due to being ill. The way Xena was depicted, and how it was given the due to, it later became one of the most popular shows on TV during the time it was on air along with other series. Lucy's performance as Xena proved to be so popular that she was able that it was able to be a spin-off and was first released in September of 1995. Lucy is also famous for playing Diane Lewis-Swanson in NBC's popular sitcom Parks and Recreation, which was her role from 2012 to 2015.
